Hi, I’m Madison, the designer behind Proof & Petals.
Proof & Petals is a North Dakota–based floral studio where custom floral visions come to life. From weddings and celebrations to memorials, commissions, and seasonal installations, every design is created with intention, movement, and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of flowers.
What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a passion for helping people mark meaningful moments with florals that feel personal, expressive, and alive.
Where my love of plants began
I’ve always been drawn to plants and the quiet magic of the spaces where things grow. Greenhouses, gardens, and plant shops have always felt like places where creativity and calm meet. Over time, that curiosity turned into a deeper appreciation for how plants and flowers can transform a space, a moment, or even someone’s day.
That appreciation eventually became the foundation for Proof & Petals.
Why I create
For me, floral design isn’t just about arranging flowers; it’s about creating something meaningful. Every arrangement is an opportunity to celebrate, honor, comfort, or simply bring beauty into someone’s life.
That’s what inspires my work: helping people mark important moments through designs that feel personal, expressive, and alive.

How Proof & Petals Came to Life
What started as a quiet love for plants eventually grew into something I couldn’t ignore. I found myself constantly creating: experimenting with textures, colors, and natural movement, learning how flowers could transform a space or tell a story without words.
Proof & Petals was born from that process. What began as a creative outlet slowly grew into a floral studio where I now bring custom floral visions to life for celebrations, meaningful moments, and everyday beauty.
Every design I create is rooted in that same curiosity and appreciation for the natural world that first drew me to plants in the first place.
A little more about me
When I’m not designing florals, you’ll usually find me outdoors or working on some kind of creative project. I love hiking, drawing, painting, and singing...anything that lets me slow down and create. Gardening is another passion of mine, which probably isn’t a surprise. Being surrounded by plants and watching things grow has always felt grounding to me.
Home projects are another love of mine, and many weekends are spent building, fixing, planting, or rearranging something around the house. My two wonderful dogs are usually close by, and most of my favorite moments are the simple ones spent with my husband, especially if iced coffee and a little time in nature are involved.
Before Proof & Petals became my focus, I served in the United States Air Force. I was medically retired after a few years of service, which changed the course of my life in ways I didn’t expect. While that experience is still a part of my story, it also created the opportunity for me to pursue the work I truly love.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity in just two years and am now finishing my master’s degree in business/marketing, with only one month left to go. Education and discipline have always been important to me, and they continue to shape the way I approach my work and my business.
Above all, I feel incredibly grateful to be able to pursue something that combines creativity, nature, and helping others celebrate meaningful moments. It’s something I never take for granted.
Where it all comes together
All of these pieces of who I am...my love of nature, creativity, quiet moments outdoors, and the simple joy of making something with my hands, they naturally found their way into Proof & Petals.
Floral design became the place where everything I love intersects: creativity, nature, storytelling, and helping others celebrate meaningful moments in their lives. Because I know how meaningful these moments are, I approach every design and every event with the same level of care, preparation, and reliability that I would want if it were my own.
What started as curiosity and a love for plants slowly grew into a business built around creating florals that feel personal, expressive, and alive.
And honestly, I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.
